Book Blogger Hop - 6/16 - 6/22

 Question of the Week:

How do you organize your blog in terms of what is in your side bar? Do you have categories and defined sections in your side bar? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews)

My Answer:

Oh yes...my blog is very organized in all aspects.

As for the side bars, I do have defined sections with cool headers I designed myself using my header as the background.

I had fun making the headers using Banner Fans

    1. I liked my idea and really like that I used the background as the photo on my header. It brings it all together.

      Thanks for stopping, Kymberlee.

    1. I found it by accident and really like it.

It is a bit tricky to use, but I figured it out. :)

Let me know you take a look at it.

    5. Sorry, I had not seen your reply above until just a few minutes ago. And I deleted my previous comment because the explanation I gave you was inadequate.... :(

When I'm using my cell phone to either comment or reply to comments (on my blog, as well as on other blogs), a keyboard appears on my screen (as you know if you've ever used your cell to reply/comment). This keyboard includes a little file that contains several categories of emojis. So I just tap on the emoji I want to include in my reply/comment.

When I'm using my home computer, though, this option is not available on the keyboard. So therefore I have to use certain keys, like this: <3 :) I'm basically limited as to how many emotions I can express with these keys.

I've noticed that, on some blogs, if I type this, <3 , a little heart will actually show up in my comment. If I type this, :) , a little smiley face will also show up.

This doesn't happen on all the blogs on which I use these keys, though. And I have no idea why, lol!

So, if you see actual emojis included in a comment or reply I've posted on your blog, you will immediately know that I'm using my cell phone.

However, I try not to use my cell phone when replying or commenting. Obviously, it's not as comfortable to type on a phone keyboard as it is to do so on a computer keyboard.

BTW, a variation of this: :) is this: :-) I prefer the first one, as I think it's MUCH cuter. Lol.

      Hope you're having an AWESOME Saturday!!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)

  4. That's cool that you can design your own banners. I'm not quite as savvy when it comes to design. I often have to rely on my husband for stuff like that.

Thank you for sharing, Elizabeth! Have a great weekend.

    1. It was tricky at first, but once I got the hang of it, no problem.

I just had to take a look and see how to put the info in that I wanted, and the site does the rest. :)

      Thanks for stopping, Literary Feline

    1. I thought it would be a way to keep things consistent with the blog header and side bar headers being the same.

Yes...I took the photo when I visited Portree, Scotland.
